The selected candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Utilize advanced proficiency in software to oversee financial processes, including journal entries, reconciliation, and reporting, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate and review financial reports using software, including budget vs. actuals, variance analysis, and portfolio performance reports, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage and optimize accounts payable/receivable workflows within software, ensuring timely and accurate processing, invoice reconciliation, and vendor communications.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. Facilitate audits, liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement within software, streamline procedures, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with property management, finance, and other departments to streamline data flow and ensure alignment in financial reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Software Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with software in a real estate or property management setting, demonstrating advanced proficiency.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of GAAP, financial analysis, and reporting principles within the commercial real estate industry.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities with a detail-oriented approach, proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Previous leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.
