Job Summary:

The Procurement Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring a consistent supply of quality raw materials for manufacturing solar mounting structures, transmission towers, and wind towers. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing procurement plans that optimize costs and meet production demands.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop procurement strategies based on market trends, production forecasts, and supplier performance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
  • Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any procurement-related issues to minimize delays and disruptions.
  • Closely monitor market prices and adjust purchasing plans accordingly to maximize cost savings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, finance, and plant planning, to align procurement with manufacturing needs and quality standards.
  • Effectively manage inventory levels to strike a balance between availability and cost.
  • Evaluate compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and prepare reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier evaluations.
  • Support vendor development and conduct periodic supplier audits to assess their quality and delivery performance.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Materials Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in raw material procurement in steel or manufacturing industries, preferably related to construction or heavy engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of HRC, coated steel, hot rolled plates, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven procurement decisions.
  • Proficient in procurement software applications, such as SAP Hana.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
