Job Description:

This role will support the delivery of Disaster Recovery Testing, Scope, Planning, communications, and test facilitation.

  • Develops and implements a business recovery plan and procedure;
  • Maintains and implements the Enterprise Disaster Recovery Plans, risk assessments, and application and technical strategies together with other teams.
  • Conducts risk assessments for various departments and functions, analyzing potential business impact of unpredictable business interruptions such as natural disasters, security breach, legal claims, and market disruptions.
  • Drives the alignment of IT organization priorities and plans with key business objectives.
  • Identifies, troubleshoots and implements recovery operations and methods to allow the company to function at limited or partial capacity in the event that part or all of the infrastructure is damaged or destroyed.
  • Covers disaster scenarios such as data loss, hardware failure, network downtime, and human error.
  • Reviews, configures and maintains business continuity and crisis management tools.
  • Coordinates with health, safety, and security staff and local, state, and federal agencies to align the organization's emergency management plan with established best practices and community standards.
  • Supports the event of a business disruption to manage the response coordination and communications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops a comprehensive disaster recovery plan and implements it.
  • Provides technical guidance on risk assessments, disaster scenarios, and business continuity planning.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify areas of vulnerability and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Implements continuity solutions to ensure minimal disruption to business operations during an outage.
  • Evaluates business processes and identifies areas for improvement to reduce risk exposure.
  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of disaster recovery procedures.
  • Remains up-to-date on latest technologies and methodologies related to disaster recovery.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT, preferably in disaster recovery, business continuity, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of disaster recovery principles, risk management, and business continuity planning.
  • Experience with project management, team leadership, and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
