Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Branch Banking Internal Auditor to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and soundness of the Bank through independent branch audits, concurrent audit process oversight, and risk-based audit planning.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

About the Role
As a Branch Banking Internal Auditor, you will:
1. Provide oversight to the Concurrent Audit process, ensuring timely submission of reports and regular updates of checklists.
2. Independently conduct branch audits, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions.
3. Participate in audits of various Businesses, focusing on Product/Operations audits and ensuring compliance with Bank policies.
4. Assist in planning, designing, and implementing risk-based audit plans to ensure the Bank's safety and soundness.
5. Ensure completion of assigned audits and documentation of work papers within agreed timelines.
6. Track the status of issues reported and provide recommendations for improvement.
7. Assist in keeping relevant processes benchmarked against Best Practices and peer banks.
8. Devise audit checklists for internal/concurrent auditors and test products/processes to identify potential pitfalls and bottlenecks.
9. Provide suggestions for improving existing processes/systems to line management.
10. Peer review branch internal audit reports.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Relevant experience in internal auditing, preferably in the banking sector.
3. Strong knowledge of financial regulations, laws, and standards.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
