Job Overview

A skilled Salesforce Technical Architect is sought after to drive the design and implementation of complex solutions that meet our customers' evolving needs.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance technical expertise with business acumen, ensuring seamless integration of various technologies including products and APIs, Apex/Visualforce, Lightning, mobile development tools, and integration/ETL technologies.

  • Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, deliverables, and expectations
  • Translate business objectives into well-architected Salesforce solutions that align with client goals
  • Lead technical design sessions, architect, and document solutions in line with client business objectives; identify gaps between current and desired states
  • Provide oversight and governance for Salesforce projects
  • Establish coding standards, lead code reviews during projects, and ensure quality and appropriate design patterns are followed
  • Manage the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation
  • Align with project targets and maintain a target billable utilization rate
  • Ability to deeply understand a project and debug issues
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities such as discovery and technical deep-dive sessions, Proof-of-Concept (POC) development with prospects, and liaise with Salesforce product teams to support client implementations
  • Travel to client sites for projects, estimated 50-75%
Key Requirements
  • 10-16 years CRM experience with a minimum of 6 years on the Salesforce platform
  • Expert-level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, Marketing, and Community Clouds
  • Understanding of systems architecture and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions
  • Knowledge of key design patterns and large data volume limitations and best practices
  • Familiarity with platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth)
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, CPQ, marketing automation, reporting, etc)
  • Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
  • Experience with platform security capabilities (TLS, SSL)
  • Expert-level experience defining system architecture landscapes, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering comprehensive solutions that enable achievement of desired business outcomes
  • Strong background in design/development of large web-based systems or complete software product lifecycle exposure
  • Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire
  • Degree or equivalent proven experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on core proficiencies for the role (eg extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc)
