Head of Production Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations and drive manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive daily, weekly, and monthly production target achievement in alignment with customer orders and business objectives.
  2. Monitor line-wise productivity and address shortfalls through timely corrective measures.
  3. Support capacity planning and scheduling for optimal resource utilization.
  1. Oversee end-to-end operations across production, quality, maintenance, and material flow.
  2. Implement process improvement methods to minimize downtime and ensure smooth workflow.
  3. Ensure all products meet defined quality standards (AQL, buyer specifications).
  1. Support regular in-line and end-line quality checks and ensure compliance with statutory norms and labor laws.
  2. Assist in improving cost efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing manpower, machinery, and materials usage.
  1. Supervise and guide production supervisors, quality leads, and support staff. Monitor individual and team performance against agreed KPIs.
  2. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and performance reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education: B.Tech / B.E. (Textile / Garment Technology) or equivalent. Diploma in Apparel Manufacturing accepted for exceptional candidates.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years in apparel manufacturing with significant exposure to high-volume production.
  • Proven experience in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing targets.
  • Sound knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, sewing line balancing, fabric types, trims, and finishing.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results in tight timelines.
