Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps professional to join our team. This role is a blend of individual contribution and team leadership, focusing on building, deploying, and maintaining functional applications at an enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, manage, maintain, and support cloud infrastructure for high-traffic workloads
  • Drive automation of tasks and implementation of infrastructure services
  • Identify and rectify potential risks within the infrastructure, network, or security
  • Research, setup, testing, and implementation of technologies to improve performance, reliability, availability, security, and efficiency of infrastructure on AWS
  • Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with developers to implement corrective/preventive actions during and after incidents
  • Develop software architecture designs for maintaining High Availability and Fault Tolerance
  • Document and audit DevOps practices
  • Provide leadership and direction to DevOps engineers
Required Skills and Qualifications

Skill Sets:

  • Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and related cluster components such as logging, metrics, security, RBAC, autoscaling, etc.
  • 7 years of experience in AWS, including minimum 1+ years in a Lead DevOps role, with expertise in a broad range of AWS technologies such as EC2, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, EKS, ECS, Security Hub, DynamoDB, Secret Manager, and Guard Duty
  • Expertise in DevOps technologies like Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Bash Scripting, CI/CD, etc.
  • Good programming experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, or Go
  • Expertise in automating, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience working in a 24x7x365 uptime Amazon AWS environment leveraging git repositories and CI/CD tools like TeamCity
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues using APM tools like NewRelic, Dynatrace, etc.
  • Experience working with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus preferred)
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices (AWS Well-Architected Framework)
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment with a globally-distributed team
  • Knowledge of logging and tracking issues in JIRA is a plus
