Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall quality of applications, data, and development processes. This individual will manage and refine our software QA practices, define and report on key quality metrics, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all system data and applications features are of the highest quality.

This includes matrix managing a team of QA Engineers who focus on building test cases and automating QA workflows. The successful candidate will report directly to the SVP, Software Engineering, and collaborate closely with the VP of Data and Analytics.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with business goals.
  2. Quality Standards: Establish and maintain quality standards, KPIs, and metrics to measure and improve product quality.
  3. Process & Methodology: Develop and maintain robust QA processes including test planning, execution, automation, and reporting.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
  5. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate quality risks early in the development process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of QA experience.
  • Strong experience with application, data, and API testing, along with a strong understanding of QA manual and automation processes and software testing lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and use of automated testing software (Agile/Scrum/SAFe, Playwright, Cucumber, TestRails, Selenium).
  • Good understanding of Web-based technology architecture and data structure.
  • Strong database skills (SQL).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience testing business solutions delivered on SaaS models.
  • Planning, designing, implementing, and using automated test suites.
