Job Title: Solar Design Expert

Experience:

8-20 years of experience in solar design aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents related to solar power plants.
  2. Ensure deliveries are aligned to project schedule and requirements.
  3. Review and approve drawings by design engineers, checking design and sizing calculations of engineering electrical equipment, and obtaining client approvals.
  4. Assess vendor deliverables pertaining to engineering.
  5. Capable of multitasking and delivering multiple tasks on time.
  6. Estimate and plan man-hour requirements for solar projects.
  7. Review and submit Bill Of Quantity (BOQ) to contracts team, providing technical clarifications.
  8. Coordinate with multiple disciplines for ensuring inter-departmental checks and quality assurance.
  9. Provide support and clarifications to site execution teams.
  10. Check pre-award evaluation of vendors w.r.t. technical specifications requirement of the client.
  11. Inspect equipment from finalized vendors after submission of validation document.
  12. Clarify issues w.r.t. design and requirements of the client to site execution teams.
  13. Collect inputs for project details (soil report, boundary coordinates, topo survey, etc.) from clients and section heads.
  14. Coordinate with operations teams and inform design specifications for obtaining approval.
  15. Collect inputs for project details (general arrangement drawings) from vendors.
  16. Support electrical DC, AC, and instrumentation teams for reviewing vendor drawings.
  17. Submit requirement of man-hours for undertaking and reviewing of design and drawings of the project.
  18. Design deliverables like module mounting structure design, GA drawing, control room, inverter room civil and structural drawings and document, solar plant civil infrastructure drawings and design.

Technical Expertise:

The solar design expert shall have expertise in engineering activities for civil and structural covering control room buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, inverter rooms, grading, roads, and drainage, outdoor steel structures, and miscellaneous works related to solar power plants.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven track record of successful solar project management.
  • Strong understanding of solar power plant design and operations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
