Senior Cloud Systems Engineer

SSE will be responsible for the upkeep of our systems/services to ensure high reliability, stability, and performance expectations. They will design and build dashboards in collaboration with development and infrastructure teams for the upkeep of key services in production. The Senior Cloud Systems Engineer will design and implement automation frameworks for building and deploying key services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the development and infrastructure teams to design, develop, deploy, support, and monitor existing and new services in production.
  • Develop scripts, deployment frameworks, monitors, self-healing/auto remediation tools, and automate processes.
  • Manage security of cloud infrastructure and application using tools, monitoring, and security incident management.
  • Demonstrate strong collaborative skills by partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Respond to incidents when they occur and take necessary steps to restore service and return business to normal operations as quickly as possible.
  • Collaborate with peers and guide them.
  • Participate in design sessions to build and manage complex automation framework elements in accordance with design.
  • Successfully multi-task across project and non-project assignments, delivering on time with good quality.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or SRE role in a highly customer-focused environment.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Cloud services specifically Microsoft Azure.
  • Azure certification is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux OS, experience with network infrastructure, database, cloud, and data center operations.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting skills, familiarity with Dynatrace, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus.
  • Knowledge of deployment/configuration management tools like Jenkins, Harness, GitHub, etc.
  • Experience in automating infrastructure setups and configuration management.
  • Strong knowledge of containerized application technologies including Docker, Kubernetes (AKS).
  • Good understanding of APIs and proficient in any programming/scripting languages such as Python/GO/Shell Scripting.
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Kafka, Nginx, etc.
  • B.Sc/M.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
