Lead Utility-Scale Solar Projects

We are seeking a seasoned Renewable Energy Project Director to spearhead utility-scale solar projects from conception through completion.

This role requires a highly experienced professional with a strong background in renewable energy, particularly in large-scale solar power projects.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring project deliverables are met on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the project manager for utility-scale solar projects from feasibility through commissioning.
  • Provide expert guidance to clients on project design, development strategies, risk mitigation, and optimization opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Translate client needs into actionable project plans and ensure alignment with their strategic goals.
  • Develop project roadmaps, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, procurement, legal, and regulatory specialists.
  • Provide in-depth technical advice on solar PV design, grid interconnection, permitting, and construction best practices.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, contracts, and designs to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Data Management through platforms like Aconex, Wrench, EgesDoc, etc.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and international regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits during critical project phases.
  • Mediate and resolve conflicts between project stakeholders when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in project management, with a minimum of 5 years in utility-scale solar projects.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, grid integration, permitting processes, and energy storage solutions.
  • Working Knowledge of industry-standard software such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, and project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project). Document Control Platforms/Software.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality advisory services to clients.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • PMP, Prince2, or similar project management certification will be preferred.
  • Availability to travel frequently to client sites and project locations.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
