Senior Pastry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our pastry department.
- This position is responsible for preparing various pastry and dessert menu items according to provided recipes and photos.
- Assigned a station in the pastry galley by the Pastry Chef Tournant, with occasional changes to become familiar with tasks.
- In charge of some pastry and dessert production.
- Assigned to day or night shift based on operational needs.
- Set up pastry displays on buffets as needed.
- Assist transportation of food items from main stores to pastry galley when assigned.
- Clean and sanitize working area and utensils following United States Public Health rules and regulations at all times.
- Occasionally assigned to early standby in the pastry galley for USPH purposes.
- Aware of and/or acquire necessary knowledge to comply with ship's standard operation, assist guests and crew members with inquiries.
- Attend meetings, training activities, courses, and other work-related activities as required.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Minimum two years' experience as a Pastry Cook in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and equipment use.
- High school diploma or basic education equivalency requirement.
