Job Description

About this Role:

We are seeking a skilled Track Alignment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our rail track design and infrastructure development projects, you will play a crucial role in creating preliminary designs for track alignment.

Your responsibilities will include designing horizontal and vertical track center line alignments, developing points and crossings based on operational concepts, establishing standard working procedures to ensure work execution according to Statements of Design (SOD), analyzing built components with tolerances to precede construction, suggesting solutions to avoid infringement during mass construction while meeting quality standards, planning and coordinating daily activities involved in rail track design and infrastructure development projects, demonstrating extensive knowledge of various design methodologies in elevated sections, showing expertise in rail design software, including swept path analysis, regression analysis, and drainage, preparing and reviewing design calculations for cant, cant deficiency, cant excess, speed, rate of change of cant, rate of change of cant deficiency, and transition, conducting quality checks and assurance for deliverables, review meetings, and issue resolutions, visiting sites for interface and monitoring purposes to ensure construction activity and site conditions, and collaborating with the interface team, including geotech, structure, signal, architecture, utility, traction, rolling stock, and multi-model integration.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Graduate degree in civil engineering from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in relevant track alignment experience for metro projects.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
  • Problem-solving skills, especially in integrated project delivery environments, applying industry best practices.
  • Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong leadership skills, proven ability to lead a team effort, make independent decisions, and be a good trouble-shooter.
