Job Title: Head of Strategic Engagement

Our institution seeks a visionary leader to spearhead the Placement & Corporate Interface function. As the Head of Strategic Engagement, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives that align with our vision and market trends.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a strong corporate network, and the ability to drive results. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement placement strategies that enhance our industry presence and foster strong relationships with top recruiters.
  • Corporate Relations:
    • Establish and maintain partnerships with leading companies, startups, and public sector enterprises for placements, internships, and live projects.
    • Organize industry events, guest lectures, and other interactions to increase engagement and promote collaboration.
  • Placement Operations:
    • Oversee the entire placement process, ensuring a seamless experience for both recruiters and students.
  • Student Readiness:
    • Collaborate with faculty and training partners to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet industry expectations.
    • Mentor students on career choices, profile building, and industry expectations.
  • Alumni Engagement:
    • Tap into the alumni network for placement support, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
  • Analytics & Reporting:
    • Track placement metrics, prepare detailed reports, and present insights to leadership and stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Postgraduate degree (preferably an MBA or equivalent) from a reputable institution.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in corporate relations, placements, business development, or HR, ideally within a reputable academic institution or corporate setting.
  • Strong network across various industries (FMCG, BFSI, IT/ITES, Consulting, Manufacturing, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strategic thinker with a result-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
