Geographic Information System Developer

We are seeking a highly motivated GIS developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong grasp of ArcGIS, python and javascript and deploy scalable solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.

  • About the Role:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, deploying and maintaining connectors to connect with customer interfaces.
  • He/she will communicate and understand technical requirements of customers interfaces and develop appropriate architecture for implementations.
  • Additionally, the candidate will analyze, review and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, and debugging.
  • He/she will ensure software can be completely integrated into the customer's system.
  • The candidate will also coordinate software integration and maintain technical documentation.
  • Expert knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ArcGIS Desktop /Pro, Enterprise Geodatabase, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Python and understanding how to build high-performance UI applications capable of visualizing large amounts of data
  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., React, HTML, JavaScript, CSS languages and frameworks)
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud is preferable
  • Proven experience developing dynamic front-end web applications
  • Writing clean code with well-defined abstractions that reduce complexity
  • Passionate about implementing responsive and user-friendly interfaces
  • Knowledge and utilization of REST API and other web services for integrating
  • Experience with at least one RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and strong SQL skills
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration
  • Experience in Azure Repo with knowledge of git and Azure Containers
  • Masters degree, GIS, Geographic Science, Computer Science, Survey Engineering, Related Field, or related bachelor's degree with some relevant experience
