Key Responsibilities:- Rule Management: Manage Cloudflare WAF rules, page shields, and threat intelligence filters to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Tuning Policies: Optimize policies to minimize false positives and enable protection against OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
- Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor web traffic anomalies, bot activity, and take preventive actions to maintain the integrity of our applications.
- Alert Integration: Integrate WAF alerts with central SIEM/SOC for real-time visibility and efficient incident response.
- Collaboration and Validation: Collaborate with app teams to validate WAF configurations before production rollout and ensure seamless integration.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot WAF blocks, performance issues, and content caching anomalies to minimize downtime and maximize availability.
- Access Control and Rate Limiting: Maintain access control, rate limiting, and geo-restriction rules to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance.
- Reporting and Threat Modeling: Generate reports for application owners and participate in threat modeling exercises to identify and mitigate potential risks.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to stay ahead of emerging threats by assisting L3 in rule set upgrades, custom signatures, and API security enhancements.
