Job Title: Backend Engineer

  • We are building the next-generation financial infrastructure for global education, helping students from emerging markets access study-abroad opportunities through intelligent lending, automation, and full-stack support.

As a system developer at a leading finance firm, you will:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable systems using Golang, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and Relational or NoSQL databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, product managers, and QA engineers to develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal and external integrations.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices, optimize and troubleshoot systems for performance and scalability.
  • Ensure system security and data protection in compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of development experience in Golang, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong system design expertise for scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Proficiency in RESTful API development and integration.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative coding practices.
  • Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of multithreading and concurrency.
  • Experience or interest in AI technologies for automation and decision support.
