The primary objective of this role is to design and develop battery-based energy storage systems, encompassing PCS, BMS, EMS, and SCADA designs.

  • Electrical Design: Develop electrical designs for battery-based energy storage systems, taking into account applicable codes, standards, and regulations in the USA.
  • Technical Review: Conduct thorough due diligence and technical review experience to scrutinize technical documents and installations, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
  • Battery Technologies: Stay abreast with fundamental aspects and main characteristics of current battery technologies and relate them to battery parameters.
  • Project Management: Manage bids and projects throughout their life cycle, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Testing and Training: Perform electrical testing using appropriate PPE and procedures, and attend training sessions on equipment as provided by the manufacturer.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems).
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a relevant engineering field. Ph.D. holders in similar fields are also welcome.
  • Skills: Ability to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations; good organization, communication, analytical, planning, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Competent skills using Microsoft office software like Outlook, Excel, Word, and knowledge of other electrical and PV software's is an added advantage.
