Data Engineer Lead

We are seeking a seasoned data engineering professional to lead our team of senior engineers and drive the development of cutting-edge data platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing large-scale data systems, as well as expertise in workflow orchestration, cloud-native applications, and data warehouse design.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Strong coding skills in Python, JVM, and Shell scripting with production-grade experience.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native, data-intensive applications on AWS.
  • Detailed understanding of data warehouse design and development using modern DW tools like Databricks and dbt.
  • Expertise in workflow orchestration using Airflow.
  • Familiarity with file formats like Parquet, Delta Lake, and OTFs.
  • Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines and unit testing/test automation frameworks.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills, with experience driving client communication, requirement gathering, and roadmap planning.

The successful candidate will shape the architecture of our data platform, mentor senior engineers, and engage directly with clients. This is an exciting opportunity to influence architecture and drive business-aligned tech roadmaps in a collaborative and innovative culture.

This position requires a holistic approach to data modeling, ensuring smooth delivery of features and applying modern marketing data suites. Experience with observability systems and Docker/Kubernetes for containerization is a plus. Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation is also beneficial.
