About the Role

Global Finance Partner - FP&A (SWS)

The Global Finance Partner - FP&A (SWS) will be responsible for delivering complete Global FP&A reporting for SWS BU, including X+5 and X+1. This role involves interaction with SWS FP&A Director, VP Finance, and all regional finance business partners.

The ideal candidate will have leadership skills, be a team player, and self-starter, as the position requires working in cross-functional teams to resolve issues impacting multiple functions. The candidate should also be able to handle projects independently, while maintaining confidentiality as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive key planning cycles (X+5, X+1, Ques) by defining Business Unit (BU) reporting timelines, performing global consolidation, and outlining key management themes, drivers, risk, and opportunities.
  • Drive monthly activities and assist in filling various global FPA templates with proposed first-level commentary.
  • Ensure timely execution of reports with data integrity in collaboration with SWS finance leadership team and understand the build-up of figures, ready to concisely reply to questions; drive corrective actions when needed.
  • Financial modeling and data gathering on short-term and long-term planning exercises, including actual reporting.
  • Engage with regional finance teams to support Financial Planning and Analysis activities.
  • Provide analysis and insights, consistency checks, quantifying drivers, identifying trends.
  • Support the Financial Business Partner in providing financial metrics to functions.
  • Interface with key stakeholders at regional and BU levels to understand needs and drive further development of reports, analysis, and insights.
  • Support in the approval flow on financial impact of listed cost-saving actions.
  • Support teams in transforming reporting requirements on new reporting platforms and further train wherever possible.
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • Produce and deliver 10+ standardized reports across Bekaert.
  • Provide first-level analysis with proposed comments.
  • Responsible for meeting all financial reporting deadlines.
  • Train new members in SWS FP&A teams on key processes and activities.

Essential Skills and Competencies

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in accounting, finance, or related field.

Professional qualification as PGPM.

Technical Skills:

Expert knowledge of all Bekaert systems, BFC, Power BI, and other reporting tools.

Knowledge and understanding of operations of accounting and financial functions are essential.

Software knowledge - Expert in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Soft Skills:
