Global Trade Specialist

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of global trade activities. This involves managing the movement of goods and shipments across different countries, adhering to complex international trade laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage custom bonded warehouse import procedures, including MOOWR, EPCG licence, Advance licence, and their guidelines & processes.
  • Maintain accurate data on inward and outward movement of custom bonded warehouse.
  • Ensure timely filing of returns and reports (monthly basis) as per MOOWR requirements and maintain updated records of procured material, consumption data, wastage data, and duty deferment data.
  • Liaise with customs and handle audits related to custom bonded warehouse.
  • Closely monitor and manage compliance with international trade laws and regulations, including obtaining necessary licenses and permits.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants for bonded warehouse, and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in daily tasks, including process improvement, inventory control, controlling and monitoring targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • MBA in Logistics or BCOM or MCOM with certification in warehouse or Import & Export.
  • 8-10 Years of experience in warehouse management or EXIM Management.
  • Knowledge of FTA (FREE TRADE AGREEMENT) across different countries.
  • BASIC Knowledge of Costing, Taxation, Inco terms, logistics, Import process, and custom duty knowledge.
  • Very good and hands-on experience of Microsoft Excel is must.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics ERP system will be an added advantage.
