Customer Data Platform Manager

A unified customer data platform is responsible for creating single customer views for personalized marketing and insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain a clear product roadmap that aligns with business needs and market trends.
  2. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and proper governance of customer data within the platform.
  3. Oversee the integration of data from various internal and external sources into the CDP.
  4. Collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and other teams to gather requirements and ensure data is used effectively.
  5. Lead the end-to-end product development process from conception to launch, often using agile methodologies.
  6. Activate the unified customer data and make it accessible to other systems for real-time personalization.
  7. Regularly review product metrics and model performance to ensure the CDP delivers tangible business value.
  8. Gather use cases and needs from various business departments to inform CDP development and optimize its utility.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong background in product management, particularly with technical products like data platforms or internal tools.
  • Familiarity with data concepts, APIs, SQL, schemas, and data engineering.
  • Ability to understand business objectives and connect them to CDP functionality, particularly for personalized marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and engineering.
  • Capacity to turn vague ideas into concrete product specifications and develop long-term strategies.
