Job Overview

As a mechanical design engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of mechanical engineering components and systems.

The job requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve customer specifications and requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing mechanical engineering components and systems
  • Conducting design reviews and checking 2D detail drawings
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to qualify new designs
  • Achieving customer specifications and requirements

Requirements:

  • Station DRI-full machine conceptual design, manufacturing design, DFM, SOP, RF design
  • 3D part modeling, 3D finishing, and assembly details, COTS items spec freeze, and localization
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent with 4-10 years of relevant experience

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in automation, electromechanical/mechatronics, and related concepts
  • Understanding customer requirements and proposing feasible ideas and concepts
  • Well-versed in creation, reading, and interpretation of engineering drawings and standards
  • Wide knowledge of automation products and selection of commercial items like bearings, motors, gearboxes, servomotors, sensors, conveyors, etc.
  • Knowledge about best machining processes, heat treatment processes, engineering materials, surface treatment, EDM, EBM, mechatronics, etc.
  • Awareness of material handling equipment and limits fits and tolerances, GD&T, surface finish
  • Good knowledge of DFx (DFM, DFS, DFA…) concepts and robotics, robot selection, and application
  • Well-convergent with CAD 2D/3D platforms particularly AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS
