Senior Information Security Specialist

About this role
As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing various security services to protect against adversarial attacks and vulnerabilities.
The successful candidate will help architect and build our internal security standards and frameworks, ensuring alignment with foundational security principles such as least privilege, defense in depth, segregation of duties, and zero-trust architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy robust security mechanisms to safeguard against data breaches and other security threats.
- Develop threat detection, monitoring, investigation workflows, and response architectures for our security analytics platform.
- Monitor and evaluate operational/security alerts to ensure timely incident response.
- Conduct Threat Modeling, Design Reviews, and Security Testing to identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Communicate risks to engineering staff through training and technical demonstration of secure design patterns.
- Partner with our DevOps team to automate and orchestrate security controls within our infrastructure and platform.
- Lead the vulnerability management lifecycle at the infrastructure, platform, and application levels.
- Participate in investigations, threat hunting, and incident response activities; build playbooks for specific incident response scenarios.
- Assist with compliance activities, such as SOC2 control implementation and testing, vendor risk assessments, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 10+ years of core, relevant InfoSec experience.
- Intimate familiarity with cloud security and experience automating security processes in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in threat modelling, design reviews, and security testing of various applications, technologies, and platforms.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools.
- Ability to write automation scripts in multiple languages.
- Experience in vulnerability/threat management activities at the infrastructure, platform, and application level.
- Experience with penetration tests/red team exercises involving manual verification, exploitation, lateral movement, etc.
- Expertise with event management/SIEM solutions and data modeling associated with building event detection and alerting capabilities.
