Packaging Engineering Professional

Job Description:

The role will focus on projects related to packaging machinery and automation, particularly for Marico Domestic and IBG business.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in packaging machinery related activities of an FMCG company or packaging machinery manufacturer is required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduation or Post Graduation in Mechanical/Pkg Engineering.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in the field.
  • Packaging degree from IIP or SIES is not compulsory but preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Understanding and experience of working with Packaging Machines and related Automations are essential.
  • Knowledge of filling, Capping, labelling along with Robotics, EOL solutions, Process improvements & plant operations is required.
  • Understanding of IOT, industry 4.0 is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Initiate and execute Packaging machinery projects related to Greenfield/Brownfield.
  2. Develop strategies to improve efficiency and quality from PKG assets and undertake Upgrade programs.
  3. Study existing production lines and propose debottlenecking projects.
  4. Set-up packaging equipment for new products, change in pack format, product trial launch, also conduct trials for new packs on existing machines for NPD process.
  5. Work with Plant teams on all capex procurement related to packaging machines.
  6. Solve key issues related to packaging at Plants and help in standardisation across plants.
  7. Adherence to laid out systems and policies, generating MIS & various reports as required for the division.

Upwards :- Packaging Engineering Manager.

Downwards :- NA.

Stakeholder interactions:

Plant team across manufacturing units and Head Office team in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operational Excellence.

Packaging team in Technology (R&D) and Quality.
