Product Manager Job Description

Objective of the Role:

As Product Manager for EV Battery Swapping/Charging Stations, you will spearhead the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring the development of innovative, user-centric battery swapping/charging solutions that meet market needs and drive commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a product roadmap outlining key milestones and project timelines.

• Identify design requirements through market research, customer interviews, surveys, and collaborate with the technical team for SRS creation.

• Create and maintain detailed customer journey maps for the product, identifying touchpoints, physical, and digital interactions at each stage.

• Develop deep customer understanding, advocating for customer needs and conducting extensive user studies to identify current gaps in the system and benchmark industry solutions.

• Gather and define product requirements with cross-functional teams, creating Business Requirement Documents and Product Requirement Documents.

• Develop and execute go-to-market plans, collaborating with marketing for effective strategies and campaigns.

• Manage the development of digital solutions associated with the product.

• Identify and mitigate risks in product development, making strategic decisions for successful completion.

• Co-create business cases and business models for the product along with the Business head and Finance team.

• Provide regular status reports to senior management and maintain vendor relationships.

• Oversee product development with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the product development process.

• Ensure SOP readiness by collaborating with stakeholders on program status and execution.

• Plan and execute service flows with the service team and coordinate with marketing and sales for commercial readiness.

• Lead the product development lifecycle, including customer and product discovery, user research, MVP, and product-market fit.

• Regularly interact with customers to understand how existing products can be improved to meet evolving customer needs.

Requirements:

  • • Strong ability to create detailed business and technical documents (SRS, BRD, PRD).
  • • Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet stringent timelines, collaboratively achieving results across departments.
  • • Outstanding problem-solving skills, with experience in discovery techniques and the ability to translate business needs into actionable items.
  • • Experience working with business users, translating business requirements into software requirements.
  • • Strong market research and analytical skills.
  • • Proficiency in project management and roadmap development.
  • • Excellent cross-functional team collaboration skills.
  • • Risk management and problem-solving abilities.
  • • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • • Experience in product lifecycle management.
  • • Knowledge of digital solutions and customer journey mapping.

Qualifications:

  • • Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Automobile / Industrial / Production with relevant work experience in the EV Battery Swapping / charging industry.
  • • Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • • Experience in the EV battery swapping industry is a must.
  • • Relevant certifications in Product Management, Project Management, or related areas are advantageous.
