Objective of the Role: Product Manager for EV Battery Swapping/Charging Stations will spearhead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from market analysis and requirements gathering to product development, launch, and continuous improvement. This role aims to ensure the development of innovative, user-centric battery swapping/charging solutions that meet market needs and drive commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a product roadmap outlining key milestones and project timelines
Identify design requirements through market research, customer interviews, surveys and collaborate with the technical team for SRS creation
Create and maintain detailed customer journey map for the product, identifying touchpoints, physical and Digital interactions at each stage
Develop deep Customer understanding – You be the voice of the customer and conduct extensive user studies to understand customer needs and identify current gaps in the system benchmark industry solutions
Gather and define product requirements with cross-functional teams, creating Business Requirement Documents and Product Requirement Documents
Develop and execute go-to-market plans, collaborating with marketing for effective strategies and campaigns.
Manage the development of digital solutions associated with the product.
Identify and mitigate risks in product development, making strategic decisions for successful completion
Co-create the business cases and business models for the product along with Business head and Finance team
Provide regular status reports to senior management and maintain vendor relationships
Oversee product development with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the product development process
Ensure SOP readiness by collaborating with stakeholders on program status and execution.
Plan and execute service flows with the service team and coordinate with marketing and sales for commercial readiness.
Lead the product development lifecycle, including customer and product discovery, user research, MVP, and product-market fit
Regularly interact with customers to understand how existing products can be improved to meet evolving customer needs.
Skills Required:
- Ability to create detailed business and technical documents (SRS, BRD, PRD).
- Works well under pressure and has the ability to work within stringent timelines and to collaborate across departments to achieve results.
- Must be a true problem solver with outstanding skills in discovery techniques and the proven ability to translate the underlying business needs of requests into actionable items.
- Experience with business users and able to translate business requirements into software requirements.
- Strong market research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in project management and roadmap development.
- Excellent cross-functional team collaboration skills.
- Risk management and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Experience in product lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of digital solutions and customer journey mapping.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Automobile / Industrial / Production with relevant work experience in the EV Battery Swapping / charging industry
- Master's degree or MBA is preferred
- Experience in the EV battery swapping industry is a must
- Relevant certifications in Product Management, Project Management, or related areas are advantageous
