Closure Door Trims Expert

Our organization is currently seeking a skilled engineer to join our Door Trim team within Body Engineering. This role will focus on the design and development of interior components for new or ongoing programs, bringing innovative solutions to enhance vehicle user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering design and technical development of door trims, including soft and hard trims, ensuring optimal performance and quality standards are met.
  • Own and deliver commodity plans to quality, cost, and time, utilizing project management best practices to maintain the Worldwide Engineering Release System.
  • Manage change requests, expenditure forecasting, and supplier teams in support of program milestones, promoting effective collaboration and communication.
  • Resolve compatibility with A-surfaces for technical feasibility and develop designs that meet vehicle targets, incorporating sustainability principles when possible.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience leading business, technical, and process issues within a project team environment, demonstrating leadership skills and strategic thinking.
  • Good working knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, product definition, and change management processes, enabling seamless project execution.
  • Knowledge of automotive body cabin systems, plastic and sheet metal materials, design rules, and related processes, fostering innovation and growth.
  • Able to create 2D sections and 3D geometry using Catia V5/V6/TCE/Digibuck, showcasing proficiency in CAD software.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to communicate at all levels, facilitating stakeholder engagement and project success.

Education:

  • BE/B. Tech, ME in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering, equipping individuals with foundational knowledge and practical skills in engineering disciplines.
