Job Title: BIS Consultant

We are seeking a skilled consultant to guide clients through the ISI Mark Scheme under the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of BIS standards and experience in facilitating compliance with regulatory guidelines.

This role is crucial in ensuring that products meet technical standards for performance and safety as required by BIS regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing guidance on BIS Certification requirements
  • Assisting clients in identifying applicable BIS standards and categories for their products
  • Facilitating the preparation and submission of the BIS application and required documentation
  • Coordinating with BIS-recognized laboratories for product testing and obtaining necessary test reports
  • Ensuring products meet technical standards for performance and safety as required by BIS regulations
  • Acting as the primary point of contact between clients and BIS officials to expedite the certification process
  • Tracking and monitoring the status of applications, ensuring timely follow-up and approval
  • Advising clients on testing and post-certification compliance
  • Providing ongoing support to clients in maintaining compliance, managing renewals, and addressing any regulatory concerns

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering would be preferable
  • 0-2 years of working experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BIS standards
  • Knowledge of the BIS portal
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
