Senior Software Engineer Position

Cvent, a leading technology provider for meetings, events, and hospitality, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team.

This role will be focused on developing scalable, high-performance applications using Ruby on Rails and Node.js. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience in object-oriented design, MVC, and web frameworks. They will also have a deep understanding of database technologies such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server.

  • Develop Internet-scale applications with performance, reliability, scalability, and security as top priorities.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails or Node.js.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop complex SaaS-based applications.

Requirements:

4-7 years of software development experience.

Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and Node.js, including object-oriented design.

Experience with MVC, web forms framework, and database technologies such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server.

  • Primary skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred skills:

  • Experience with full-stack development.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
