About This Role

We're seeking a dedicated Amazon Lex SME with hands-on experience in designing, configuring, and deploying conversational AI experiences using Amazon Lex V2.

  • This role is central to a platform migration initiative requiring deep expertise in building scalable, production-grade Lex bots.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define intents, utterances, and slots.
  • Set up multi-turn conversations.
  • Manage session attributes, context control, and fallback strategies.
  • Leverage native integrations with Lambda, Amazon Connect, and Cognito to deliver advanced conversational flows.
  • Optimize language model performance using analytics and real-user feedback.
  • Work closely with frontend, QA, and API teams to ensure successful Lex integration and functionality across platforms.

Expertise Required:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Amazon Lex V2.
  • Custom intent and slot configuration.
  • Multi-turn conversations and context management.
  • Fallback and clarification handling.
  • Strong understanding of Lex console and API interfaces.
  • Experience integrating Lex with AWS services such as Lambda, Cognito, and Connect.
  • Familiarity with Lex Knowledge Base setup and logging via CloudWatch.
  • Awareness of security and access control for bot workflows.
