Unlock your expertise in API 6A equipment design with our Senior Design Engineer opportunity.

We seek a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge of API 6A standards and surface pressure control equipment design. This key role requires experience with API 6A product design and certification processes, as well as proficiency in CAD tools like Inventor or similar software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of pressure control equipment per API 6A standards.
  • Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs using Inventor or similar CAD tools.
  • Conduct FEA and other mechanical calculations to validate designs.
  • Ensure compliance with API 6A, ASME, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain teams.
  • Provide engineering support for prototype testing, failure analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participate in design reviews, DFMEAs, and engineering change processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal engineering standards and best practices.
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required); Master's preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering in the oil & gas industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of API 6A product design and certification processes.
  • Proficiency in INVENTOR, VAULT, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and engineering analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, API 6A, and API Q1 standards is essential.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and problem-solving skills.
