Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Leader to oversee the coordination of imports and exports. This role involves monitoring workflows, managing resources, and ensuring timely and accurate operational processes.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, freight forwarding, and team management. They should possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively. The successful candidate will also have experience with financial and accounting functions, as well as people management skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate operational functions, including imports and exports, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of cargo to customers.
  • Supervise shift managers and their teams, reviewing KPIs regularly to ensure all team members meet expectations in quality, timelines, and communication.
  • Ensure full compliance with SOPs, identifying gaps in task ownership, communication quality, and process consistency.
  • Resolve escalations and exceptions during the shipment process, serving as the go-to person for operational troubleshooting.
  • Deliver regular feedback, training, and development sessions, building operational thinking and ownership mindset in the team.
  • Identify areas of inefficiency or data integrity issues, proposing automation, smarter flows, and better controls.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration with service providers.
  • Set goals and objectives for the team, aligning with company guidelines and key performance areas/indicators.
  • Use established indicators and tools appropriately, ensuring all accounting matters are finalized to maximize revenue.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage all operations teams, retaining adequate staffing levels and conducting quarterly performance reviews.
  • Monitor staff performance, working with HR on employee relations and training issues.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with all freight forwarding procedures and financials (TSA, CBP, IATA, FMC, BIS).
  • Bachelor's degree in any field (Commerce, International Trade, Logistics preferred).
  • 5+ years of industry-related experience, with preference for freight forwarding.
  • 2+ years of team management experience, including managing team leads or shift managers.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, data integrity, and customer service mindset.
  • Highly motivated and results-driven.
  • Outstanding people skills; customer-driven, business-savvy.
  • Able to handle complex problems, knows how to multitask.
