Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain storage, filesystem, or virtualization features on Linux using C/C++.

  • Main Responsibilities
    • Design, Develop and Maintain Storage, Filesystem, or Virtualization Features:
    • Work on Linux kernel modules and system internals to create efficient and scalable solutions.
    • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
    • Cross-functional collaboration is crucial in integrating new features and resolving technical challenges.
    • Troubleshoot Complex System Issues:
    • Debug and troubleshoot complex system issues using advanced tools such as GDB, strace, perf, fio, iostat, blktrace.
    • Prototype and Iterate Solutions:
    • Rapidly prototype and iterate on solutions to validate new ideas and concepts.

Requirements

  • Mandatory Skills
    • Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
    • Hands-on Linux kernel development experience.
    • Expertise in storage, filesystem, or virtualization development.
    • Solid understanding of OS internals (filesystems, I/O, device drivers, memory management).
    • Experience with POSIX APIs and Linux system calls.
    • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Bonus Skills
    • Skilled in multi-threading, concurrency, and IPC.
    • Proven ability to optimize for I/O performance and reliability.
    • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
