Job Overview

We seek an experienced Senior Storage Solutions Engineer to join our Professional Services team. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor on storage architectures and integrations for internal teams and customers.

The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of hands-on storage expertise across multiple technologies and vendors, with a proven track record of designing, integrating, and optimizing storage solutions in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Advisory

  • Provide expert storage guidance to Systems Integrations teams for deploying Private Cloud Director with various storage backends.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to inform design decisions and troubleshoot storage-related issues.
  • Advise PreSales engineers on optimal storage approaches during customer solution design, POCs, and RFP responses.

Solution Design & Integration

  • Deep expertise in backup and disaster recovery solutions, including architecture design and implementation strategies.
  • Design best practice architectures for integrating Private Cloud Director with diverse storage solutions.
  • Guide integrations with vendor-specific storage solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Develop internal best practice guides for storage topics relevant to OpenStack and Private Cloud Director.
  • Create external customer-facing guides and knowledge base articles to improve deployment success and reduce support escalations.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Stay current with evolving storage technologies and best practices.
  • Partner with Engineering to identify product enhancements improving storage interoperability and performance.

Requirements

We seek candidates with:

  • 15+ years of enterprise storage expertise, with hands-on experience across multiple vendor ecosystems and technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of storage protocols and architectures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex storage performance and connectivity issues.
  • Strong understanding of VMware environments.
