Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Backup and Data Recovery Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise backup and storage solutions using CommVault technology.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, with expertise in SAN/NAS technologies, including zoning, LUN masking, multipathing, and storage tiering. They will also possess advanced knowledge of RAID levels, performance tuning, and predictive failure analysis.

The selected individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to align storage strategies with cybersecurity, cloud, and server teams. They will also be responsible for developing automation scripts for backup validation, reporting, and compliance.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise backup and storage solutions using CommVault technology.

  • Collaborate with junior engineers to mentor and train on backup and storage best practices.

Requirements include:

  • Expert-level proficiency in CommVault, including custom job scripting, deduplication, and cloud connector configurations.
  • Deep knowledge of SAN/NAS technologies, including zoning, LUN masking, multipathing, and storage tiering.
  • Mastery of RAID levels, performance tuning, and predictive failure analysis.
  • Strong experience in NFS configuration, client behavior analysis, and integration with heterogeneous environments.
  • Advanced understanding of Active Directory, DNS, LDAP, and Kerberos.
  • Scripting capabilities in PowerShell, Shell, or Python for automation and diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Zabbix) and ITSM frameworks.
  • Ability to handle escalations and drive mission-critical resolutions.
