Job Summary

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned cybersecurity expert to lead our security strategy, overseeing cloud, application, and enterprise infrastructure security.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in cybersecurity strategy, cloud security, DevSecOps automation, risk governance, and incident response, with a proven track record of driving security transformations in large-scale organizations.

Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity Leadership
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security architecture and frameworks across multi-cloud environments.
  • Lead secure software development life cycle (SDLC) adoption, threat modeling, application security reviews, and web application firewall (WAF) implementation.
  • Drive DevSecOps practices, including automation of compliance checks, vulnerability management, and secure infrastructure provisioning.
Cybersecurity Team Development
  • Establish and grow the Cybersecurity team from the ground up, setting up processes, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Act as the head of the Cybersecurity vertical, accountable for strategy, execution, and reporting to leadership.
  • Mentor engineers to achieve maturity in security operations.
Risk Management & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with leadership to balance business needs with security risk tolerance, translating technical risk into actionable business decisions.
  • Continuously improve security policies, procedures, and audit readiness.
Cybersecurity Operations & Incident Response
  • Work with security operation center (SOC) and Incident Response teams to detect, investigate, and remediate security threats and incidents.
  • Develop and optimize incident response playbooks to improve containment, recovery, and resilience.
  • Implement proactive monitoring and security automation to reduce exposure to malicious events.
Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed security best practices across development and infrastructure teams.
  • Provide strategic mentorship to engineers and stakeholders on threat trends, secure coding, and compliance.
  • Lead documentation, training, and awareness programs to promote a strong security culture.
QualificationsRequirements
  • Master's in Computer Science (Preferred: Texas A&M or equivalent) and Bachelor's in Computer Science/Engineering.
  • 17+ years of proven cybersecurity experience across cloud, DevSecOps, application security, and compliance.
  • Certifications: ISC2 CCSP, AWS Solutions Architect (Pro), Azure Security Engineer, CEH Master, Google Cloud Architect, ITIL.
  • Hands-on expertise in:
  • AWS/Azure security services, identity and access management (IAM), Terraform, Okta/Active Directory, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Secure network design (virtual private clouds, firewalls, WAFs).
  • Application and product security reviews.
  • Security automation and compliance monitoring tools.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

This is a permanent role where the candidate will be expected to build the Cybersecurity team from the ground up and lead the Cyber Security vertical, ensuring robust governance, scalability, and long-term resilience for the organization.
