Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive programming support to the statistics and programming department across various projects, clients, and therapeutic areas.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manipulate large databases and generate reports to facilitate in-depth analysis of real-world healthcare data assets by analysts. The ideal candidate must possess excellent SAS and SQL programming skills, along with the ability to implement complex logic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To create complex analysis data sets derived from diverse data sources while maintaining a keen eye for outliers and errors.
  • To build patient cohorts and evaluate patient healthcare events in large databases using observational research methods such as epidemiology and statistical methods.
  • To develop advanced statistical models and provide expert-level knowledge of Oncology databases like Flatiron and COTA.

Technical Requirements:

  • Expert-level knowledge of R and SQL programming.
  • Familiarity with OMOP-Common Data Model and its applications.
  • Experience with R Shiny or Instant Health Data (IHD) and Analytic Datasets, patient cohorts.
