Configure SAP RE-FX

Experience is required to configure and implement the SAP Real Estate Finance Extension (RE-FX) module. The system must be aligned with business requirements for successful implementation.

SAP RE-FX professionals configure and implement the RE-FX module by translating business processes into SAP functionality. Key responsibilities include:

  • Configuring and implementing the SAP RE-FX module
  • Translating business processes into SAP functionality
  • Managing RE-FX master data including business entities, buildings, land, rental objects, contracts, and conditions
  • Handling contract lifecycle management: inception, changes, renewal, and termination
  • Integrating RE-FX with SAP Financials/Controlling, Projects, Plant Maintenance, and Materials Management modules
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, end users, and functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities related to real estate accounting
  • Creating and maintaining documentation, test scripts, and training materials
  • Participating in SAP upgrades, enhancement packs, and patch testing for RE-FX
Requirements

A degree in Information Technology or Business is necessary. A minimum of 3-5 years experience is also required with SAP RE-FX implementation and support. Additionally, a strong understanding of real estate lifecycle and IFRS 16 compliance is essential. Knowledge of lease-in / lease-out contracts, rent adjustments, conditions, and indexation is also beneficial. Finally, experience with SAP FI/CO integration is important, particularly in asset accounting and revenue recognition.
