Job Title: Technical Operations Specialist

The Saint-Gobain Glass Business has made a strategic investment in western India through the acquisition of Sezal Architectural Glass in 2011.

Our float glass manufacturing unit is located in Central Gujarat, spread over 150 acres with a capacity to produce 550 MT of clear glass per day.

We have set a high quality benchmark standard within India and globally by producing clear glass with less than 650 ppm of Iron.

Our campus also features an in-house Sand Beneficiation plant with a capacity to produce 600 tons of treated sand per day.

The Jhagadia glass site has positioned itself as a hub for future investments of Saint-Gobain in India over the past decade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain switchyard, HT & LT switchgears, SF6, transformer, motors, EOT cranes, Battery & Battery charger, UPS, PCC, MCC, Plant lighting & PLC, Electro hydraulic grab, and crushing equipment.
  • Maintain and operate gensets, electrical Panels, Transformers, isolators and lightning arrestors.
  • Maintain Soft starters & Automation systems & Basic operations of PLC's and SCADA.
  • Troubleshoot AC/DC machines, & Circuit Theory & earthing concepts.
  • Control systems & Automation systems
  • Protection and metering devices & systems
  • VFD & PLC applications
  • Encoders & feedback sensors
  • HV, MV & LV Power systems & equipments
  • Electrical generation & distribution system
  • Energy calculations and efficiency improvements

Requirements:

  • Diploma - Electrical Engineering from reputed Institutions with Good Academic record
  • 3-5 years Experience in Manufacturing / Process / Engg. Industry
