Architect and Build Distributed Systems Foundations

We are seeking a seasoned technical leader to design and construct core distributed systems that provide a reliable, scalable framework for our mission.

  • Design and Operate Backend Infrastructure
  • Provide Technical Leadership and Mentorship
  • Take Ownership of Complex Technical Projects
  • Solve Complex Problems in Distributed Computing and System Architecture

As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and operating foundational backend services that meet rigorous standards for performance and reliability
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship through exemplary code, design documents, and thoughtful code reviews
  • Taking ownership of complex technical projects from conception to deployment
  • Solving complex problems in distributed computing, large-scale data processing, and overall system architecture

Key Responsibilities:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of designing and building complex, large-scale distributed systems
  • Deep expertise in backend development, including system architecture, data modeling, and API design
  • A strong bias for action and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
  • Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++)
  • Experience with modern cloud and data infrastructure is essential
