Automotive Systems Model Architect – Gateway Integration Specialist

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-fidelity plant models of sensors and actuators using Simulink or equivalent tools.
  • Architect models for seamless integration into VHiL, HiL, SiL, and CoSim environments.
  • Define and maintain interface standards for model consumption across simulation platforms.

Data Acquisition & Characterization:

  • Lead data collection efforts from physical devices to support model validation and performance characterization.
  • Analyze diagnostic responses and performance metrics to refine model behavior.

Model Development & Validation:

  • Develop detailed system-level models incorporating vehicle calibration variations and real-world operating conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure model robustness and accuracy.

Technical Leadership & Support:

  • Provide technical guidance on model development and virtualization strategies.
  • Manage model lifecycle including enhancements, release documentation, test coverage, and technical support.

Effective Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with suppliers, hardware, controls, and diagnostics teams to gather and align requirements.
  • Balance short-term and long-term modeling fidelity needs between in-house and supplier-based solutions.
  • Harmonize virtualization requirements across vehicle and propulsion domains.

Strategic Requirements Definition:

  • Define and translate calibration differences into robust model design strategies.
  • Ensure seamless integration of virtualized models into simulation environments.
