Job Title:

Risk Evaluation Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to develop and implement advanced risk evaluation frameworks for unsecured lending in rural and semi-urban contexts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and review credit risk models and associated frameworks in line with industry best practices.
  • Craft and execute credit risk strategies across the entire lending cycle, from acquisition to collections.
  • Analyze portfolio performance using various risk metrics, identify early warning signals, and track portfolio trends against established risk parameters.
  • Ensure that risk policies remain current and aligned with both external market conditions and internal risk appetite.
  • Extract insights from large datasets, create data-driven Management Information Systems (MIS), and brief senior management on changing market conditions.
  • Regularly audit processes to ensure adherence to risk policies and verify the effectiveness of existing controls.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the overall risk framework.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree from a reputable institution.
  • 3-6 years of experience in managing risk in non-banking financial institutions, fintech, or lending organizations.
  • 2+ years of experience in Python and SQL programming is mandatory.
  • Exceptional data analysis skills and ability to extract meaningful insights.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques.
  • Experience in microfinance/MSME lending will be an added advantage.
