Responsibilities

As a Category Head, you will own the PnL metrics, develop and manage categories and their SKU assortments, analyze data to determine industry and consumer trends, and devise long-term development strategies for product categories. You will also foster trust relationships with vendors, assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category, and ensure best procurement practices to support margins, vendor spread, and working capital management.

Requirements

We are looking for a Tier 1/Tier 2 MBA with 6-8 years of experience in FMCG Sales/B2B/Category Management Experience. You should have a sound understanding of the customer segment, their behavior, products in the category, category pricing, B2B sales, and vendor management. You should be driven and proactive to dive into numbers to identify, analyze, and solve business problems.

About the Team

The S&D vertical at Ninjacart is focused on the farm to retailer business of procuring from farmers and delivering to retailers. As a Category Head, you will be in charge of sales and margins of the categories assigned to you. You will need to understand our customers' needs and provide them the same at the right pricing and with the right value propositions. If you are excited about understanding the market, creating the right assortment mix to target maximum customers, changing the same as per seasonality, engaging customers with virtual marketing, optimizing the source for the same leading to better margins, and overall adding to our customers' profit, then this is the opportunity for you.
