Commodity Trading Specialist

This role is critical in driving the commodity trading strategy of a global marketplace. Key responsibilities include heading trade commercials, developing risk mitigation strategies, devising business plans, and building a team of professionals.

The successful candidate will lead the development of organizational infrastructure to support phased growth from trading to manufacturing operations across the base metals value chain.

  • This position requires extensive knowledge of the Base Metals value chain, commercial understanding of trade, and a strong network of customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum 20 years of experience in the base metals industry with a Bachelor's degree or 10 years post-Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

Apart from technical skills, this role demands excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:Heading Trade Commercials

This includes sales and purchase activities that drive revenue and profitability for the organization.

Risk Mitigation Strategies

The role involves developing and implementing hedging mechanisms across exchanges to mitigate risks.

Business Planning

This includes devising strategies to achieve a leading position in the Indian base metal industry.

Team Management
