Job Title: Airbus Aircraft Technical Author

We are seeking a skilled technical author to develop and maintain high-quality illustrated parts catalogues (IPC) for various Airbus aircraft.

About the Role:

  • Develop and update IPC data using engineering drawings, service bulletins, and change requests.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines, such as ATA iSpec2200 and Airbus-specific documentation standards.
  • Utilize Airbus tools like ZAMIZ, GIPSY, SAP, and DACAS for authoring and data management.
  • Analyze and implement changes based on engineering inputs.
  • Validate IPC content created by junior authors.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for rejections and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering or related field.
  • 4-8 years of experience in IPC authoring for Airbus aircraft.
  • Proficiency in Airbus tools and processes.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems and parts breakdown.
  • Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with S1000D or other structured documentation standards.
  • Familiarity with Agile documentation workflows.
  • Ability to lead small teams or projects.
