Senior Business Intelligence Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. This is a key role that requires expertise in TIBCO Spotfire, as well as strong technical acumen and leadership capabilities.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics solutions using Spotfire. They will work closely with data engineering and business teams to define data models, transformation logic, and visualization strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Development: Lead the design, development, and deployment of Spotfire dashboards and analytics solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Data Strategy: Work closely with data engineering and business teams to define data models, transformation logic, and visualization strategies.
  • Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring best practices in coding, performance optimization, and version control.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business users, analysts, and senior management to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Integration & Automation: Implement data integration workflows using Spotfire's scripting (IronPython, TERR) and automation services.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize dashboard performance and ensure scalability across large datasets and user bases.
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintain technical documentation, data governance standards, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Business Intelligence and analytics, with at least 5+ years in Spotfire development and architecture.
  • Strong command over Spotfire features including custom expressions, calculated columns, data functions, and advanced visualizations.
  • Proficiency in SQL or Python for scripting and data manipulation.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a problem-solving attitude and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in leading teams and managing project deliverables in an Agile environment.
