Financial Operations Manager

The role of Financial Operations Manager is pivotal in ensuring the smooth management of daily banking and treasury functions. The individual responsible for this position will oversee the accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, payment gateways, and other financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Bank Reconciliation

    Performing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of multiple bank accounts is a critical aspect of this role. Investigating and resolving discrepancies between bank statements and the general ledger requires meticulous attention to detail and timely posting of all bank transactions.

  2. Treasury Management

    Managing daily fund flow and maintaining optimal fund balances necessitates monitoring and processing fund transfers, bank deposits, and payments. Additionally, developing and maintaining relationships with banks and financial institutions is crucial.

  3. Payment Gateway Reconciliation

    Reconciling transactions from various payment gateways (e.g., PayPal, Stripe) with internal financial systems involves identifying and resolving discrepancies related to payment processing and settlement. Tracking chargebacks, refunds, and fees associated with gateways is also essential.

  4. Accounting Support

    Assisting in month-end closing processes by preparing relevant journal entries and supporting accounts payable and receivable functions as needed ensures compliance with financial policies, procedures, and controls.

  5. Data Analysis and Reporting

    Utilizing advanced Excel techniques (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for reconciliation, data analysis, and reporting is necessary for creating and maintaining financial models, cash flow forecasts, and ad-hoc reports. Ensuring data integrity and accuracy across financial records is paramount.

  6. Process Improvement

    Identifying opportunities to streamline and improve reconciliation and treasury processes enables the implementation of automation tools or improved methodologies for data reconciliation and reporting. Maintaining internal controls in all treasury and reconciliation activities is vital.

  7. Compliance and Reporting

    Preparing regular treasury and reconciliation reports for management and assisting in audit preparations by providing accurate reconciliations and supporting documentation ensures adherence to relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
