Job Title: Chief Financial Operations Manager

This is a senior-level position in our accounting department, reporting directly to the head of finance. As Chief Financial Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations.

• Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, analyzing variances and trends.
  • Conduct in-depth P&L reviews, providing detailed financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Accounts Receivable and Payable Management
  • Oversee the entire AR/AP cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Implement and maintain effective credit control policies, managing cash flow by optimizing collection processes and payment schedules.
• Month-End Close Activities
  • Coordinate and execute all aspects of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy of general ledger accounts through reconciliations.
  • Review and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, preparing month-end financial packages for presentation to senior management.
• Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts, analyzing budget vs. actual variances and providing explanations.
  • Support long-term financial planning and modeling, collaborating with department heads to gather input for budgeting process.
• Compliance and Regulatory Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with Billing, TDS, and GST laws, overseeing the preparation and filing of GST returns.
  • Monitor changes in financial regulations and update processes accordingly, assisting in managing external audits and liaising with auditors.
• Client Relationship and Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients on financial matters, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate financial information effectively to non-finance personnel, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Process Improvement and Automation
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, implementing automation tools to increase efficiency in accounting processes.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the accounting department.
• Team Management and Development
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, assigning tasks and monitoring work progress of team members.
  • Provide training and guidance on accounting principles and best practices, conducting performance evaluations and supporting professional development of team members.
• Financial Systems and Controls
  • Maintain and improve internal financial controls, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to enhance financial systems and reporting tools.
• Special Projects and Ad-hoc Analysis
  • Lead or participate in special financial projects as assigned, conducting ad-hoc financial analysis to support management decisions.
  • Assist in due diligence processes for potential mergers or acquisitions.

This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
