Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist
About the Role:
The Financial Operations Specialist will be responsible for leading financial operations, overseeing day-to-day financial management, statutory compliance, procurement, and operational support. This role will focus on managing accounting systems, preparing financial statements, monitoring expenses and budgets, and coordinating with the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management and Reporting:
- Establish and maintain accounting systems and processes for timely bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Monitor expenses and cash flow to ensure sustainable business operations.
- Liaise with the finance team to support consolidated reporting and audits.
- Procurement and Office Operations:
- Manage procurement of IT equipment, software licences, and office supplies.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Ensure value-for-money and cost efficiency across administrative expenditures.
- Administrative Leadership and Record-Keeping:
- Develop and maintain internal administrative policies and workflows.
- Oversee documentation of employee records and regulatory filings.
- Support coordination with external consultants.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field (CA/CPA/MBA preferred)
- Minimum 5–7 years' experience in finance, accounting, or business operations
- Strong working knowledge of labour law, tax compliance, and statutory reporting
- Familiarity with risk management and insurance procurement
- Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms and digital banking tools
- Proven ability to operate in a start-up or small business environment
